TIXEL 2
We are so excited to introduce Tixel 2 to Hawaii, being the first and only provider of Tixel 2 in the state. Tixel 2 uses revolutionary TMA (thermomechanical action technology). It is safe for all skin types from Fitzpatrick skin types I-VI. Tixel achieves outstanding results without the use of radiation, needles or chemicals. Instead, this proprietary technique uses heat to create micro-channels in the skin, stimulating the body's own natural healing process encouraging collagen and elastin production by fibroblasts. Treatments can be as quick as 60 minutes for face and neck or 30 minutes for eyes. Uniquely, there is low to minimal social downtime depending on setting preference, allowing for discrete healing.

HOW DOES TIXEL WORK?
Tixel uses TMA technology patented by Novoxel which is the first of its kind uniquely combining motion and head with the forward movement of a medical grade titanium alloy tip. This tip is made up of tiny pyramid shaped pins made of biocompatible materials. Together, this unique non-laser technology transfers thermal energy (up to 400 deg C) to the skin very safely and effectively producing laser like results without the unwanted downtime.

Common areas include the face (forehead, under eyes, mid face, upper and lower lips, and chin) neck - décolleté, and hands.
WHAT DOES TIXEL FEEL LIKE?
Tixel is well tolerated. Most patients report feeling heat at treatment site that abates when treatment is done.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
For optimal skin rejuvenation, it is recommended to have 3 treatments spaced 1 month apart. If you are using it to target acne, the setting is often lower so it may take more than the average of 3 treatments.
HOW MUCH DOWNTIME IS EXPECTED AFTER TIXEL?
Tixel leaves the outlet layer of the skin intact so downtime is kept to a minimum. Patients may wear makeup after 24 hours and most return to normal activity and are socially presentable the same day post treatment.

RESULTS
The results after one treatment may take up to 10 days to fully develop, but clients can expect to see small improvements in their skin as it heals throughout this timeline. During these 10 days, clients will start to notice a significant reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and an overall more even complexion. The results will continue to develop, with final results seen 4-6 weeks after. Most clients receive anywhere from 3-6 treatments total with 4-6 weeks of time in between to allow the skin to heal entirely prior to the next treatment. Once the first set of treatments is complete, it is recommended to complete maintenance treatments spaced out every 6-12 months to ensure longevity of results.
EXPECTATIONS AFTER TREATMENT
Since Tixel uses heat via thermomechanical energy to stimulate collagen production, it is normal and expected to feel as though you have gotten a sunburn on the area treated. It will most likely feel hot and may look red following your treatment. Additionally, most of this redness usually clears up by the next day however some may experience additional redness for several days post treatment depending on skin type. It is recommended to avoid applying makeup on the affected area for at least 48 hours. You will also be provided with recommended aftercare skin products. As your skin is healing over the next few weeks, it is recommended to always use UV protection whenever exposed, as the treated area is still healing and at greater risk. It is always recommended to use strong SPF, however it is especially enforced for 3 weeks post treatment. Clients should also be advised of some micro-crusting commonly appears in a grid like pattern which should subside in 4-5 days. Less likely but possible additional side effects include blistering or peeling of the affected areas.
EXOSOME ADD ON POST TIXEL
V-tech from Promoitalia is our Exosome of choice for add on after Tixel 2. V-tech is an ultra-intensive professional blend of PDRN, synthetic exosomes and vegetable stem cells, aloe vera and copper tri-peptide. This option does not require an IV line to be placed and allows patients to take home some extra serum and mask after treatment to apply at home continuing its benefits. By administering this topically post Tixel 2, we take advantage of those open channels created from thermomechanical energy applied driving the exosomes deeper into the epidermis. This also creates a larger reduction in redness and post procedure.

Research shows that TMA™ creates superficial channels in the stratum corneum, allowing enhanced permeability to topically applied hydrophilic substances, that are applied after treatment. Tixel®’s intended use does not currently include tissue permeability enhancement.
